Hello from Ontario, Canada

Hello Everyone,

I'm from Ontario and we own a cabin. Needed to buy a nice lever action for protection and hunting so my first purchase was a 44 Mag Mare's Leg and it was OK. Because we don't have the same restrictions as in the States I ordered a full length stock for her and she's a beauty to carry around our cabin and a joy to shoot.

My second purchase was a 45-70 Steel but I don't use it much except for working on my reloads for now and I'm almost there.

Welcome aboard, I hope for a change in the short barrel rifle law here. I like the camo wrap on your rifle.

Welcome to the forum. Your camo job looks great but I must admit I cringed a little when I saw the brass receiver camoed. Great pictures - thanks for posting.

A camo'd 44 Mare's Leg with a full length stock and a scope - that has to be the most unique Henry ever seen on this sight - cool looking gun, even if you did cover up the brass and walnut. Welcome from the Shenandoah Valley. VA.

Thanks for all the warm welcome.

I first applied the Mossy Oak Rifle Skin to the brass receiver and barrel band so it wasn't so shiny when out hunting and since we have black bear season in the spring and fall plus deer I found I was carrying it around all the time when up at the cabin and decided to wrap it up and it has served it's purpose by protecting the brass and wood from the bumps and bruises while in the brush, forest, riding the ATV and in the truck.

Where's Henry???

While in the treestand during gun season. My eye's aren't what they uses to be... looking to pick up a Leupold VX-3i 1.5 - 5 x 20mm for next hunting season.

Welcome to the forum. I might have to run away to Canada just so I can put a rifle stock on my Mare's Legs.
