Howdy's from the Old North State!

If you haven't already figured it out, I hail from central North Carolina. I've been a hunter and fisherman since I was a small child, as it was about all we had to do on the farm for recreation other than swimming and knocking down wasp nests. My late grandfather was an avid quail hunter and had some of the best dogs in the land. I gravitated to bass fishing more than anything and turned to deer hunting soon after getting married. Go figure.
Any ways, I enjoy remote camping and hiking also, but my favorite activity is shooting/testing guns on my backyard range. Bolt-action rifles have always been my favorite. Just recently I saw a Henry advertisement on my hunting channel and I was intrigued by the many guns I saw. Long story short- I went and picked up a Long Ranger not long after receiving a Henry catalogue. It was the only one my local dealer had on the shelf.
I had a few problems with it, but Henry made good on their promises to take care of their customers. Soon after that I picked up another Henry lever action in the Big Boy 45-70 brass edition. I have mistakenly been calling it a Golden Boy because it shines like a gold brick I guess! Henry fever is the only thing I can think of to blame!
I've really enjoyed reading the forum thus far. Everyone seems genuinely friendly and I've already gleaned some wisdom for other Henry owners. It's a great place to visit from time to time.
