New guy from FL & VA
They call the wife and I "Snowbirds" because we flap our wings every year when it gets cold outside and head south to SW Florida for the Fall, Winter and early Spring. I'm married and retired Military. I've quite a few guns that I've collected over the years. I keep telling myself that a need a larger gun safe. I've been Jones'n for a nice lever action for quite a few years. Henry had more to offer at a better price that its competitors. The 45-70 Steel H010G satisfied my my passion for the time being. I look forward to interacting with the group.

Welcome to the Henry Family. We are a family here, and like a family, we invite you to dive right in and share. Tell stories, share some pics, laugh and joke. Talk about guns, cars, fishing, family. Like family we might pick on you a bit, but it'll be in good fun, the mods wouldn't allow anything else, unlike some sites.
You know, like: "You call THAT a fish, I call that Bait?" That's what my wife says to me when we go fishing....
I grew up in Florida, lived all over. From the keys, to the Glades, from the panhandle to the forgotten coast. My folks live in Pcola.
I also lived in VA, Metro Richmond Area to the foothills of the Blue Ridge.
NOW we are in Oklahoma thanks to the 2020 changes ... LOL... and retirement. (Former Marine and retired from a long second career in various LE... )
Again, welcome to the fam.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you found us.
Re: New guy from FL & VA
Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
Sorry for my abbreviated first post. Time for surfing the forums are limited at the moment. I'm dealing with my wife in the hospital at the moment, spending 7 hours a day with her. It all started with a mini-stroke, which turned into a clogged Carotid Artery that required emergent surgery. After that she developed a massive blood clot in her lungs that required a removal procedure. Sprinkle in 8 or so cat scans, ultra sounds and MRis, not to mention rehab. All happening in 12 days of pure horror for her. Hopefully we're getting close to her ordeal's finish line. I promise to be a bit more verbose in the future. Sorry for bending everyone's ear...

No apologies needed. Blood Clot, BTDT, and blood thinners for two years afterward. Xeralto, I think, the same thing some famous (Okay, semi - famous) race driver had to take. Bump something lightly, bruise like you fought Tyson. Light scratch, Bleed like you offered him an ear.
But, no more clots. Now, just a baby aspirin a day.
Take care of the family first and drop in when you can. Time to visit later.
Virginia Beach? Hated the traffic, loved the fishing.

Welcome and congrats on your new rifle.
Also sending good thoughts and prayers for your wife, modern medicine can do some wonderful things, and hoping it does for you and her with this.
