Hello from Las Vegas
Howdy, looking forward to learning more about these fine rifles! Currently I'm in Vegas for work, but I'm an Alaska resident and that is home.
My only lever gun currently is a 444 Marlin that I use for moose hunting. Looking at getting a couple of Henry's, interested in a 30/30 and either a 45 Colt or 44 Mag.

Welcome. You're a long way from home! Hmm; you have a 444, getting a 30-30, I'd say .45 Colt. But, I can certainly see a .44mag for your area.
Colt, if it's going to be for plinking purposes. How's the handloading situation in Alaska? Again, welcome.

Welcome from the Tualatin Valley Oregon. I have both a Henry 30-30 and 45 Colt. You're going to love them whatever you decide to get.Akaviator wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 8:47 pmHowdy, looking forward to learning more about these fine rifles! I haven't handloaded, but probably should start all things considered. I will use the Henry's for hunting as well, moose, bear, caribou....

Welcome from Michigan. I would guess you are looking for hunting rather than plinking so probably the 44 magnum for Alaska.

Man, you Almost got me.
Hello& Welcome from way over here in central W TN.
A fo-fo-fo, Love those, I own a pair a Sporter Safety and a P.
If you don't reload then I'd say 44 mag. as the ammo should be more available, more options and "Used" to be less expensive.
