Welcome from So-Cal. .45 Colt is pretty popular around this forum. As Randy asked, do you handload?

Re: Howdy from the Arizona desert!
Yes Sir! Underwood 250gr +P with the Lehigh Xtreme Penetrator. Most accurate round I have shot out of this rifle, thus far. On the target pictured, it is the group in the middle. Lower right was Underwood 250gr +P XTP load. 3 shot groups , with the Underwood stuff, at 50 yards with factory open sights. I had 4 rounds of Grizzly left, so I shot 4 on this target. My rifle did not like the Grizzly ammo very much.

Re: Howdy from the Arizona desert!
Yes Sir, I DO reload! When I purchased the rifle, back around May/June, I got lucky and found some different factory stuff on sale. Ended up accumulating about 400rds, so now I have brass to play with. I do know that it is way harder for me to find primers than loaded ammo and it has been for months.

Very nice shooting! I've not tried the Underwood yet, but I know it's not cheap. Don't know that I would use it on targets other than to see how well my gun likes it.
Again...very nice shooting! Impressive.

I managed to get 12-15 boxes I got at about 40% off. I can't remember where I found it online at that price, but I haven't seen it again!!! And the shooting is more the Rifle than me!!!markiver54 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2022 4:53 pmVery nice shooting! I've not tried the Underwood yet, but I know it's not cheap. Heck I load my own but at a price like that I'd had to have jump on some of it also.
I shot some Underwood's through my BBS 41 mag. it grouped well at 50 yds.

Awe, you’re just being modest (which we all do). Yep the rifle is mechanically wonderful but by itself it’s just a lump of steel and wood.~BumeRod~ wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2022 6:42 pmI managed to get 12-15 boxes I got at about 40% off. Welcome to the family from South Central Oklahoma. Jump right in, post, ask questions, and share. Pictures, we like pictures. Your rifles, guns, trucks, hobbies, fish, boats? You get the idea. We might pick on you, but it'll all be in good fun. The mods wouldn't allow anything else, this IS a family.
