I have used 12gauge, 20 gauge, 30-06, .308, .32 spec, 30 WCF, 45-70, compound box, crossbow (I'm old) but never with a .44 mag to kill deer. I Have finished a bunch of deer off, even one Moose with my duty Sig .357 Sig. My Henry has the 16.5 inch barrel......what bullets have anyone used to take a deer? Just curious as to what modern rounds worked on actual deer kills?
Thanks!

Welcome from the Land of Sugar! Happy hunting with that .44! I use a .240 gr Nosler bullet under 23.3 gr of H110.

I don’t have a .44 but I dropped two this year with a Henry Single Shot .357. One near 100 yards and the other close enough to hit with a rock. Your .44 will be quite capable from muzzle to a out over a hundred yards. And your .44 is a Henry. Bonus!

Congrats! Im in a similar situation, since my area of MN is about to eliminate it's shotgun zone, and allow rifle use again. Happy hunting!
