Greetings all. Like many of you I enjoy my Henry rifles. To date I've acquired a Long Ranger 243, Big Boy 410, and X-Model 45. I'm looking to do some minor add-ons to help improve my performance as a shooter while also maintaining the aesthetics of my rifles. I'm here to learn more and get some ideas and pointers.

Welcome to the forum. How do you like your Long Ranger?

Hello Ernie. I took possession of the Long Ranger yesterday and took it out to an indoor range today. Man, it was a blast to shoot especially since my shot groups were so tight. At 25 yards (max for the range I went to) I felt like I could knock the wings off of a fly, lol. I can't wait for nicer weather so I can take it to an outdoor range. I hope to take it on a hunt soon as well.

I have been nosing around trying to find one in 223. I may end up getting a single shot.

Hey Ernie, Have you tried Gunbroker.com? That's where I found my Long Ranger. Maybe you'll have luck there.

Welcome from So-Cal! As mentioned, nice collection you going there.

Nice set there JFL, I recently handled one of the Long rangers, those things have some heft.
Never seen any of the 410's around here, how do you like it compared to other scatter guns?
