Regarding disassembly, I’m not there yet. I have a Marlin 30-30 I bought many years ago that I took completely apart a few times using the users manual. No big issues.

I viewed a video by Henry on doing the same to a Henry and parts started falling out. Somewhere else I saw something on reassembly and the guy neede teasers to drop a part in. For now I’ll use a pull thru rig and keep from fouling the trigger mechanism. I think the message is clear when Henry omitted any disassembling instructions from the owners manual. I’ll find a good video on it and tear it fully apart in February after hunting season

The County where I hunt deer passed a regulation allowing the use of rifles with straight wall cartridges. So I got this Henry for closer in areas , and a Ruger 350 Legend for everywhere else, or at least that’s my excuse for buying two rifles :-). So they both for deer, and I can’t wIt to see how this 44 does. I get the most days in the woods during different muzzle loader seasons, but having these new rifles will get me out any days I can in rifle season.

I hope this is just a poor match of ammo and gun. I guess I could swap scopes and try again and see how it shoots ?

I had some horrible outings with my 45-70, one outing was a loose scope issue (due to the wild kick) and the other was the ammo. Spraying rounds all over the place. I have some nice groupings now :-) Are there "rifle-specific" mag loads?

Buffalo Bore has magnum loads but only one solid core round will cycle through the BBX. In this environment I doubt I'll find any Federal Premiums but I plan to look.
