Hello from MS
Hello All-
New to Henry rifles, I recently acquired my one and only (so far): a single shot 44 Spec/Mag. I had been pursuing a Ruger No. 1 for years, but couldn't justify the cost for a 44 Magnum. I decided to save a grand and give the HSS a try, and have found there is a lot to like about it. Primarily, I really like having 2" more barrel than every other offering out there, and the (new) factory trigger is outstanding. Handling and accuracy are fantastic, and it really wrings every bit out of the 44 Magnum, making for a very pleasant shooting experience.
I hung Skinner sights on it, dialed it in for my preferred hand loads, and have been doing a good bit of range testing. I have run up on an issue or two and joined up here hoping to find some experience with this rifle that may shed some light.
Thanks for the add. I've enjoyed the reading so far.

Re: Hello from MS
Thanks all - it's been a while since I did a message board; life and all that.
I'm planning on finally getting around to doing some hunting this fall, so with getting the rifle set up for it, I figured some more involved discussion all around might be a good thing.
