Hello from North Carolina

Hello from a new Henry owner. I just picked up a Big Boy Steel 357 20" from my LGS this afternoon. I am retired and live in northwest NC mountains mostly, and in SE NC in Wilmington when not in the mountains. I have returned to shooting sports since retirement. Seems like work and career got in the way for about 40+ years. I am now into handguns, rifles, shotguns and now lever guns. The Henry is my first lever gun, and I bought it to match a Ruger GP100 357 4". I have built a shooting range on my property and look forward to taking the Henry out tomorrow.
Thanks for allowing me to participate in the forum. I look forward to meeting all of the members. I hope you all are having a wonderful day!!!

Welcome from the Show-Me-State!
Congrats on your steel .357 steel Big Boy....great choice. I did have one, but needed to sell it last year. It was definitely a smooth-operating Henry. Interesting that my partner revolver to the .357 rifle is my Ruger SP101 .357 4.2". Main difference is that mine is a J-frame compared to your K-frame. The Ruger revolvers are quality handguns, from my perspective.
Anyway, enjoy your visits on the Forums. Quite a number of Henry owners here having the .357 rifles!

Wanted to say hi from the ridiculous state of California. Was going to start my own intro thread but figured I'd tag along considering my first Henry is the exact same model! Can't wait to get my new big boy steel to the range and desert. Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Hey Papermaker, have you ever gone shooting at the
Flintlock Range in
Uwharrie National Forest? Squatch and I have gone there many times with our Isuzu Offroad club and always have had a good time. In fact, the range officer, Deborah, has a target hanging in her office that she shot with Squatch's BB. If you get there, show her your Henry and say hi for us.
Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum.
Hey Hack, went to Uwharrie many times as a camper back in the 90s and early 2000s, but not as a shooter. It is a fantastic place.

Thank you for all of the welcomes. I have really enjoyed shooting my 357 BBS so far. I also like to just look at it. Sir Henry, I will probably become a Henryholic before long too also.
