Hi everyone, I purchased a big boy CC hardened.44mag about 6 months ago. Finally I got to the range to fire off my new gun. Only four out of fourteen factory rounds I cycled through it actually fired. I thought well it must be the ammo...right? Next time out (with different factory ammo) pretty much the same. I couldn't believe it!! Not a Henry. I brought along my Rugar super Redhawks and all the ammo worked fine in the revolver. After a closer look, I noticed the firing pin strike from the Henry was not as deep on primer as the revolver. I know Henry's warranty probably the best out there. I don't feel comfortable about shipping my rifle across the country if not needed. I thought about taking it to my local gunsmith to check it out, but if it's not something simple like a firing pin adjustment Henry might not warranty it if it had been previously opened up. So my question is...Does Henry have authorized repair services throughout the country, or am I forced to ship it back east. By the way I am from California but I'm not one of them!! Thanks in advance for any advice

Dont even think about taking it anywhere else except to Henry. They make it easy and will fix it without any question. Just explain what its doing to them. Ive done it about 3 times with my Henry's. I think they will send you a box also. Welcome to the forum glad you joined us.

Well I called customer service this morning. I had the nicest lady you could ever imagine on the other end. I gave her model/serial # and a brief description of the problem. They emailed me the shipping labels and two boxes sent to me for shipping the gun. I asked her if I need to purchase insurance (incase UPS makes a left turn instead of a right) She said nope, it's all included. Best customer service I've experienced in a long time. Thanks you guys for coaxing me into doing this. Merry Christmas all
