I've wanted a lever-action for quite some time now. I just picked this up from my local Sportsman's Warehouse today. My first Henry and it's a Big Boy 357 magnum/38 special case hardened rifle. Such a beauty! Here it is with little sis, a Heritage Rough Rider 22LR/22mag. It's a fun shooting revolver but eventually, I'll have to get a case hardened 357 magnum revolver to match the rifle better. My cowboy guns, lol.

Unfortunately, they didn't have any 357 magnum ammo in stock, but they were hiding some Federal 158 gr 38 special behind the counter. Looking forward to hitting the range sometime soon.

I've now got to start finding some load recipes, collecting some components and getting the dies.

Randy

Hey Randy. Welcome from Nebraska. That is a sweet pair of shootin irons. The Henry is beautiful. Yeah, you’re going to want that 357 revolver. A lot of folks here match up their rifle and pistol.

Let us know how your shooting goes for you. Lots of loading advice here too.

Welcome from Dacotah, been trying to find the right .357/.38 for a while. Maybe Santy Claus will put one in my sock.

Welcome again from Colorado Randy. That CCH is a great looking rifle. I have one in the carbine model and love it.

Welcome again Randy. Like I mentioned in the other thread, you'll be looking for a handgun to go along with that purdy Henry.
Let us know when you start handloading. Those .38's are going to feel like a .22 thru your Henry.

Welcome to the forum. I found 357 brass and bullets to be pretty scarce too.
