we have owned a Browning BLR since the mid '60's .... Henry wisely incorporated several proven features from Browning in their Long Ranger .... as one example, use of a 6-lug rotary bolt locks the shell in the chamber in the same manner as is found in most bolt action rifles .... they use of a 4 round magazine (in 308's) and based on my experience with our Browning, I would recommend ordering a second magazine .... if I didn't already have the Browning, I'd be in the market for one of Henry's Long Ranger 308's
