Fenwalker, just curious, do you have to go through the same procedure for a shotgun?

Hi clovishound, very similar but not quite as strict, $105 approx per application, Police background check, medical check, home visit + security check, your application must be countersigned by someone you have known for at least two years who will vouch for your good character. I don't believe that you need to prove that you have land to shoot on. I believe that shotguns that hold more than three rounds are counted as firearms so I could get one on my firearms licence, but I would need to apply for a shotgun license for a normal sporting shotgun. I think that's all correct.
