Welcome from the plains of Dacotah, great group here to visit with.
Thanks for having me. I'll try not to be the FNG and do a search before I ask questions. ;) Seems like a nice place.

Welcome!!! Be careful, there are a bunch of enablers here.
I've noticed that forums of this type do tend to be "enabling". I know if I have too much fun with this Small Game rifle, I might just get talked into a bigger one.

Welcome from MS. As for enabling, I only have 2 Henry's. A BBSC in .41mag, which was my deer getter for a few years - don't hunt no more. And a .22mag Frontier. Both great rifles.

Welcome. Small Game Carbine is a great 22 to have alot of fun with. I would think you could drift the front sight a little to get what you are after target wise
Thanks! I can already tell this rifle was a good purchase. I was wondering whether to futz with the front sight at all. Remind me, do I need to move the front sight in the opposite direction when adjusting the POI?

Welcome. Good choice on the SG rifle.
Thank you! Yes, this one just checked all the boxes for me. Is "SG" part of the nomenclature? Can I use "SGR" as shorthand for the Small Game Rifle? ;)

I hope you guys don't talk me into buying a .357 magnum.

Thank you! I'm trying hard to resist another caliber platform. I'm already stocking five different cartridges. I suppose if I went .357 magnum I could use that in a Henry and a revolver. That wouldn't be so bad, right? Don't tempt me! ;)

Lot's of guys pair rifle and pistol, so you'd be in good company. Here's mine, the .41mag Henry with Ruger NMBH. Bought the Ruger long before I picked up the Henry.

Definitely need a 357 mag rifle and then a revolver is just naturally good choice. Both are enjoyable to shoot.

Welcome from northeast Pennsylvania, my wife just gave me a 30-30 h009g Henry for my birthday. It is an enjoyable rifle to shoot.

That caliber kinda speaks to me. I'm a "bang for your buck" kinda guy. That ammo price isn't overly outrageous and I can use it in a rifle and a revolver. So I'll actually be saving money, right?

Hey, thanks! Yeah, I thought the front sight manipulation was opposite the rear sight adjustments. I appreciate the confirmation. I almost went to the range today, but Mrs. BassCliff reminded me that I haven't finished my chores for the week. ;)

Aren't these things sighted at the factory? Maybe my egghead just doesn't line up with the QC guy.

That certainly is a handsome pair. I'll have to save up a bunch if gig money in order to add a couple of .357 units to my little "one of each" collection. Thanks for sharing. :)

It's good to meet you all. Thanks for stopping by and making me feel welcome.

Just so everyone is aware, I'm a self-proclaimed Springfield Armory fanboy. I have several XD units, a couple 1911s, and a Saint Victor, along with other stuff in my "one of each" collection.

But I do enjoy this lever action. I just might have to add a second one, in a little larger caliber. I'll let you know.

Many of us on here have “other” firearms too and we are not looked down upon for them. I’m a Springfield fan too but only have one on hand right now, a Range Officer 1911 in 9mm. I’ve had a couple of M1-A’s in the past and an XD-M. Excellent firearms.
