New to forum

Post by baitcaster2 » Sun Feb 18, 2018 9:45 am

Yesterday my oldest son walked into the house and gave me a new Henry 22 mag, he that heard me talking about wanting one, so he went to Academy and they had 20% off. Thanks so he got it for me, I have CZ's, Mossberg, Ruger, H&R, but I always wanted a Henry, so this afternoon we'll go to the range and try it out, what kind of scope would be good, I'm 70 so the eyes need a little help

welcome indeed, delighted to have you join our forum .... looking forward to your range reports and use comments ..... being 71 I well understand the needing a little help with eyesight .... Nikon makes a really nice scope for 22 rifles, I highly recommend them .... please take a look at our How Many ? thread (link below) and add your Henry to our community's total

Great choice and 20% is a huge discount.

I really like Academy, some of their prices, like Pellgun oil are lower than walmart.

BTW, they have MaxiMags for $11 something, and that is also a great deal.

Best of times with your new gun.....

I just back into town, I put a older Nikon 4x on it last Saturday and went to the range on Sunday, After about 10 shots at 25yds it was shooting about 3/4 groups With just about any kind of ammo, I really like it. I'll shoot it some more next week and to get a few squirrels. Thanks everyone

I second the Burris. I have an 2X7 and really enjoy it on my .327 Fed Mag (https://www.sportoptics.com/burris-full ... 00317.aspx.) Looks like your Simmons 4X is working for ya' though. Glad to have you on the forum.
