Food is good and I like not having to use propane to BBQ. I have an external quick connect for a grill but I dont even use it

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

You are right, Jim. The food is always good. Just have to adjust the times. Thanks.

interesting experiment .... 36 humid degrees with a biting wind as this is being typed .... fired up our Traveler an hour ago and set it to 275 degrees to smoke some baby back ribs and she's working to maintain 230 degrees .... I have a hunch we are going to burn a record number of pellets today .. ;)

at the 3 hour mark I brought the ribs in and wrapped them with foil .... just tooooo dang cold to stay outside and do it .... they are cooking and don't look bad at all .... turned up the heat to 300 and put the ribs back into the Traveler .... 2 hours from now they will be unwrapped for the last hour .... it will be interesting to see if that time needs to be extended

lesson learned --- that being ignore the digital and dial thermometers .... set your temp at your normal temp and let the Traveler do its thing .... the food will be ready in about the usual amount of time

yesterday I took our right at 2 1/2 year old Traveler smoker out of the camper's basement where it has been in storage for a couple of months or so .... prior to putting it into storage, it was thoroughly cleaned and lubed .... to my surprise, when plugged in and turned on the computer control panel, fans and igniter worked flawlessly but the auger would not turn .... call Country Smoker customer service and outlined the problem ..... the fellow I spoke with was knowledgeable and really good to work with .... he directed me in removing a side panel and switching 2 plug ins .... from that he diagnosed that the auger motor was bad .... he took the required info and said he'd send a replacement along with instructions .... within minutes we got an email confirming the part has been ordered .... once again we've had a problem with our Traveler and once again we couldn't be happier with their customer service after the sale
