Re: Making Popcorn
Not sure how they prepare it, but our local grocery chain sells it pre-popped for $1.00 a bag. That usually lasts me two movies which is the only time I/we eat it. All I have to do is open the bag.

Re: Making Popcorn
I put a bag in the microwave one time years ago and hit 20 min instead of 2. The smell through the house got my attention at about 5 minutes...microwave was black inside and we just got rid of it. Don't do that.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Re: Making Popcorn
I use my whirley pop, and bacon grease for bacony taste. A teaspoon will do.

Re: Making Popcorn
you are the first person I've ever heard of who has made Jiffy Pop work ..... during out last camping trip I watched a lady trying to do so over a campfire .... her pan popped a few kernels and the aroma of burnt popcorn made it very clear that the rest was toast .... very, very dark toast ..

Re: Making Popcorn
those aluminum pan poppers came out in the late 50's .... I well remember watching the aluminum cover stretch as the popping corn could be heard .... I've never seen one work "as advertised" and would sure like to do so
