Last time I did Jiffy pop it came out like Ranchropers 20 min microwave popcorn

you are the first person I've ever heard of who has made Jiffy Pop work ..... during out last camping trip I watched a lady trying to do so over a campfire .... her pan popped a few kernels and the aroma of burnt popcorn made it very clear that the rest was toast .... very, very dark toast .. ;)
They are easy. Once started there is no stopping.
I grew up with Jiffy pop in the 80s when I saw them come back out a few years back, I tried my hand at it. It worked! every kernel popped beautifully!
