we have come to really enjoy personalizing a Dutch Oven Mountain Man Breakfast .... our base recipe is pretty much the one one shown in this link ===> http://allrecipes.com/recipe/216742/dut ... breakfast/ .... to it we add crumbled bacon, chopped ham, and muschrooms .... with is being 30 some degrees and light rain, it took a while longer to cook our club's breakfast in a Dutch Oven this morning .... bottom line, it was worth the wait ..

In recent years, most of our camping trips are 3 night to 4 night outings. We usually do the mountain man breakfast on the first or second day. Leftovers we heat up the last morning before heading home. Good Stuff!

We just use sausage, green peppers, and onions. I don't care for commercial mushrooms and we have never tried adding bacon or ham. We also do not use a liner in the dutch oven. I fry the sausage in the dutch oven then remove the sausage but leave the grease to fry the hash browns & onions. When they are done, we add the sausage & green peppers, pour the beat up eggs over it and add cheese. Cover and bake about 20 minutes.
