have you tried Hydroponic Tomatoes ? .... for me the best tasting, best texture tomatoes are vine ripened the old fashion way .... hot house or green house tomatoes fall on the other end of the spectrum .... for the last couple of months I've tried Hydroponic Tomatoes and find them to be somewhere between .... more specifically, closer to vine ripened than to hot house ....

I think you're spot on. Better than those terrible winter tomatoes in the supermarket, but not as good as real vine ripened garden tomatoes.

Living in Philly we when over the bridge to NJ to get there Jersey tomato's . They are the best and the same plant grown in Pa SUCKS . I think it is the sandy soil in NJ .

fascinating .... I have never heard of them but after reading your link, I'd love to try them .... when it comes to farming, New Jersey, had never crossed my mind .... the soil most certainly can make a huge difference ... onions grown in the area around Vidalia, Ga are second to none

They are super onions and try to buy them only if I can . Makes the best onion in a sandwich or hamburger

I totally agree! Vidalia onions are the very best.

Maui onions are pretty good too.

spring is here .... Vidalia Onions are back in the stores ....

Walla Walla onions are great to more sugar than an orange. Tomatoes with me are a sore spot. Sure I love them but often wonder about sandwich shops and why they serve these green or off colored tomatoes on there sandwichs. What just so you can say it has tomatoes on it. Big deal if its as hard as a rock and taste like +++++ why include it. If you were shopping at the local market you sure wouldnt bring them home to eat. Al
