Re: Oysters
I was surprised at how good the eel was. I normally prefer the California rolls. They usually have fake crab and avocado in them. Quite tasty with a little soy sauce and a piece of pickled ginger on top.
I've had the ones with raw tuna and also some with shrimp. Both good, but the Cali roll is hard to beat.
Never seen oyster sushi. Hmmmmmm

I think the best part of Calamari is its tentacles, lightly floured and gently deep fried. I shop at a fish market that, if asked, will sell just tentacles! But, as much as I truly love them all, oysters, clams, scallops, mussels, lobster, calamari, shrimp, langoustines, blue crab, and tuna; to my taste, King Crab is the sweetest meat of the sea.

My Mother is the type that says she hates something, even if she has never tried it, just because of what it is, or the way it sounds.
Hope ya'll aren't amongst that group.
I have learned to at least try something that is edible and potentially nutritious. I must admit though, I have not tried, nor will I ever indulge in chicken feet. I won't eat anything that has been running around in dung all it's life, short as that may be.

Re: Oysters
new, smaller pan arrived a few days ago .... in the link above, Amazon list it dimensions as 12.5" x 8.5" .... as can be seen below, the length measurement does not include the handles .... a fact which may impact how it will fit the grill, oven, stove on which it is expected to be used .... it is indeed heavy duty which should assist in an even dispersion of heat .... we have two seafood meals on tap where oysters will be prepared ... our larger oyster pan will most likely be required for one on Nov 10th and the smaller will probably be sufficient for one on the 13thJEBar wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 12:07 pmas noted above, we did order a smaller Cast Iron Oyster Grill Pan with 6 cups (for lack of a better term) ====> https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MR ... UTF8&psc=1 .... interesting to read that it can also be used to cook corn bread, drop biscuits, single serving mac 'n' cheese and such
