777 pellets

Post by PJM » Wed Jun 17, 2020 7:52 am

Finally entered 20th century and tried some 777 pellets in my CVA Accura along with some Hornady sabots. Really impressed with accuracy/consistency of group etc. Will figure out if it was the pellet or the sabot change.Could be that the velocity change seals the sabot better. They do leave a crud ring which every one complains about, but the alcohol/windex mix easily removes/dissolves it. Seems you get 3-4 shots between swabs. I am switching. Will try pyrodex pellets to see if they shoot the same.

You are correct! I guess I enjoyed the 20th much more than the 21st so far!

I did not save that target. All I remember is that group was tight and saying to my son that the gun was designed for 3 pellet loads and never shot as well. This was the first time I ran pellets through it. i will do it again.
