My Colt Army 1860 and others

Post by ruhler » Fri Jul 08, 2022 8:20 am

My Original Colt .44
I know its been reblued a long time ago, the original loadinglever is nickleplated (I use a aftermarket loading lever because it looks better), matching numbers, all stamps/text is sharp even the drumscene. Made in 1866 so its a civilian one. Gets me wonder why would anyone reblue a revolver in this condition, it destroys the value but hey I love the look and a better price ofc. Its a great shooter, If I do my part I can probably hit within the 9ring bullseye target at 25meters. :D It prints high at 25meters so its difficult to aim.

I would rank being able to shoot an original like your 1860 as one of the ultimate single action shooting experiences. Very few of us single action fans have ver had such an opportunity. Thank-you so much for sharing.
