Re: Frontier rifle
RR that is a purty rifle and right up your alley. You need that flintlock in your collection and besides it's only money.

Re: Frontier rifle
Yes that maple rifle is a beauty but just too much dough.
But, I did put a deposit on this one...same as mine only it's got some weird rock stuck in it....I'm sure I can pry it out of there.
They are holding it for me until April when I can pay it off....now I am officially old school.

Re: Frontier rifle
There ya' go. The used Frontier I had was a a cap lock, but it also came with a flintlock conversion. Not sure if it came that way from the factory or if the previous owner added the extra lock, though. Loved the rifle, but, yeah, the walnut was as plain as it gets for walnut. Mine was also very accurate, but just too awkward and heavy for me to shoot it offhand.
Been looking at the Pedersoli Scout https://www.davide-pedersoli.com/en/pro ... sion-model, though. It's a carbine version of their Pennsylvania rifle and weighs under seven pounds. I can even get it in 32. Tempting ...

Re: Frontier rifle
I ordered the walnut one (same as my caplock). But it sure has nice wood on it. Here’s the stock.

Re: Frontier rifle
Those scouts are very nice rifles. A .32 would suit you to a tee. Can’t wait for the range reports.
