Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I have a Hawken 50, i built it from a kit when I was in 9th grade and my other is a 1851 colt navy pistol in .36 cal. This was the first pistol I bought, I was in 10th grade. I’ve had several other black powder pistols but I’ve given them to friends to get them to start shooting black powder.

I assume its a Thompson Center Hawken. Those rifles were really respondsible for getting alot of people into black powder shooting. I know they were the reason I got into it years ago. Ive never built one dont have that much talent but I have a few of those Hawkens its probably my favorite BP rifle.

You're killing me with these gorgeous traditional BP rifles, Al. I knew you were into BP shooting, but these rifles are incredible.

Thanks NCG. I thought we needed a thread with some BP rifles here. There is quite a few people here who like them and appreciate what they are about. Here is one I know you would like if you could handle it. Its light weight and a 40 caliber. Handles much like a Seneca and is a joy to shoot. Built by the same guy who has built the other 2 in this thread. Its a Hawken Squirrel rifle.

Love the browning on the metal. Just looks classy on a BP rifle, especially with the nice stocks you are showing.

Here is probably my favorite Hawken built by John Bergmann. He is the one who has built all of the rifles I have shown since the start of this thread. Its a 54 caliber full stock and a fun rifle to shoot.
