RR put a layer of masking tape or electrical tape on your brass tipped punch so it won't mar the bluing.

I think it looks pretty skookum. 8-) Cannot wait to shoot it. Went on easy, 10 minutes. Longer sight distance too now by and inch or so between front and rear. Period correct? No. The primitive sight was cool too but not if I can't hit nothin'. And I did not want to file the front sight. If for some reason I ever have to part with it, pop the rear sight back in and it's factory spec.

Period correct is overrated. Just picked up 2000 CCI #11 caps and 25Lbs of 2FG Old Eynsford BP. Im ready to shoot now. Sight looks good hope you like it

I made a quick little wooden dowel to drift the sights out and in. Worked great.
