Ok...#11 caps...I see plain ones and magnum ones....I reload with Winchester magnum pistol primers, never an issue...any difference in the caps?

Never use any mag caps myself. I have both Remington and CCI caps size 10 and 11. Reason I have both sizes is I have pistols that the Remington 10 caps fit the nipple better. Each brand of caps has different sizes

#10 and #11 's is all I ever used. I didn't even know they made a magnum percussion cap until this post. I have a pistol that uses #10 but all my other rifles uses #11's. However, I bet a magnum #11 would be good for cold weather hunting. More fire to the burner.

I bought some CCI #11's today.

...have a pound of Pyrodex RS on the way....need to make a trip to the city some time for lead and lube, etc.

Make sure when you clean up your rifle you do it as soon as you quit shooting RR. Then check it after 24 hours to make sure there isnt any rusting going on. Pyrodex is fine but one must be extra picky on the clean up or you will get that rust surprise quick. I like Amsoil gun oil or Ezzox for a rust protectant. Just a little more info for ya
