I made mine too. I want to carve one with birds head sometime. I just pack mine on my powder horn strap. 50/55/60 grain.

Looks good I like it. My strap is a woven strap. Im not sure how I am going to fasten mine yet. Maybe some rawhide shoe lace thru a hole in the horn.

If its any consolation that Goex when I shot it was good for accuracy. You might find though that you might need to up your charge from 50gr.

For sure, will fire a couple at 50 gr and see how it goes. I pack 55 and 60 gr measures with me.

Scored a couple more lbs of Triple 7 powder and 500 lead .490 balls at the LGS in town. No caps though but he is trying to get me some more.

Once my order for 2500 is ready that will give me lots of lead for a long time. I have enough caps to get through until suppliers catch up, with a flintlock as plan B.
