Rack-and-Pinion Lube

Does the Long Ranger bolt and/or rack-and-pinion need any kind of lubrication? I don't see any mention of it in the manual or Henry videos.

Probably nothing more than a thin layer of something non-greasy.

Anything too heavy & sticky will allow dirt, dust etc. to build up and eventually start to possibly bind up and cause cycling problems.

As with most gun lubrication in general 'less is more' .

No personal experience with a LR other than looking at them but the actions are pretty tight and probably benefit most from being kept clean and just lightly lubed with a thin oil - at least until they 'wear in' and loosen up a bit.
