Does the Long Ranger bolt and/or rack-and-pinion need any kind of lubrication? I don't see any mention of it in the manual or Henry videos.
Thanx!
Site seems to be working OK.

Re: Rack-and-Pinion Lube
Probably nothing more than a thin layer of something non-greasy.Does the Long Ranger bolt and/or rack-and-pinion need any kind of lubrication?
Anything too heavy & sticky will allow dirt, dust etc. to build up and eventually start to possibly bind up and cause cycling problems.
As with most gun lubrication in general 'less is more' .

Re: Rack-and-Pinion Lube
No personal experience with a LR other than looking at them but the actions are pretty tight and probably benefit most from being kept clean and just lightly lubed with a thin oil - at least until they 'wear in' and loosen up a bit.
