I may have to try my 1922 colt.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Re: Removing rust with a penny.....
I have used a penny for years to remove rust from guns. It may be in my mind but the older copper "wheat penny" seems to work better than the new penny that is not solid copper. I also use a small amount of PB blaster to help loosen the rust a little before using the penny. I showed the owner at the cycle shop I worked at how to get the melted shoe marks and light rust from the chrome pipes on the motorcycles that got traded in. Copper is softer and does not damage bluing on guns or chrome on motor cycles.

Wheat pennies (minus those minted from 1943-1946) and pennies minted from 1959-1962 are composed of 95% copper, 5% tin and zinc, which is close to bronze.
Those minted in 1943 were composed of zinc-coated steel.
Pennies minted from 1944-1946 and from 1962-1981 are composed of 95% copper, 5% zinc, which is brass.
From 1982 through today pennies have been composed of copper-plated zinc (97.5% zinc, 2.5% copper).
I think the video recommends using pre-1982 pennies. Although, I don't think it would be a good idea to use the steel pennies from 1943.

Well, I found a penny (1976). It worth a shot.

I went through my change jar and found a 76, 77 and a 1944.
the 1944 is in really good shape; almost like new.

Re: Removing rust with a penny.....
The things we think of. That makes short work of a lot of rust removal. Would probably be handy in shipping industry.

Would take a lot of pennys to scrub a ship.
