Aging brass reciever and furniture

OK, I know there are a lot of people on here that are going to completely freak out. But, I was wondering if anyone has antiqued the brass on the BBB guns. I do love the look of the nice shiny brass on my gun but, every time I look at my brass Hone15 razor and how beautifully it is aging I wonder how my rifle will look in 30 years. My razor is only about 5 months older than my rifle but, it came in a fine blasted finish with no protective coating and is taking on a beautiful patina already. Biggest problem I have with the bright brass finish on the rifle is I find myself picking up the gun ever time I walk by to wipe it down!

I just wipe my 1860 brass down with a soft cloth once in awhile; no polish. I want it to eventually turn a nice patina. No freak out here, I like my gear to look old like me. :)

I would just let the brass age. The more you handle it, the darker it will get. You can always shine it up if you don't like the looks.
