Bore Cleaning Guide
Bore Cleaning Guide
Anybody know where I can find a bore cleaning guide for a Henry 44mag rifle ?
Re: Bore Cleaning Guide
If you use a brass or aluminum cleaning rod you shouldn't need a guide. The metal of these rod's are way softer than the steel barrel.
Otherwise here are a couple of suggestions...

Or...If you're wanting to be frugal...you can drill out the primer pocket on an old casing and slip it over the cleaning rod. It'll keep you centered in the chamber. Tuck a piece of cloth down below to keep solvent out of the action.

5shot..............You took the words right outta my mouth.............Even cheaper is using a plastic soda straw.
Another idea is to get some heat shrink tubing and shrink it down over your cleaning rod.....Then no bore guide needed.
