Grace Gunsmithing Screwdriver

Post by Steve51 » Wed Dec 29, 2021 3:50 pm

Several years ago I bought a small set of Grace Gunsmith Screwdrivers for Revolvers (7 drivers) Many of these drivers also worked very well for my Henry rifles.
Over the weekend I was removing a screw on one of my Henry rifles and the tip broke on the screwdriver I use most often. According to their website (GraceUSAtools.com), their tools have a lifetime warranty.
I contacted them using the contact page on their website explaining the broken tip. I received a email response from their President, Daniel Morrison, in less than two hours. He said he would get a replacement out to me ASAP.
I never used their customer service before and I was impressed. Just hope the replacement arrives quickly.

I have a set I've used for years. Never had trouble. Good to hear.

Had mine for about 30 years. Good to hear about another company standing behind it’s product.

Great timing- was just starting to browse for a good set of screwdrivers for... revolvers & lever guns!

This makes the decision pretty easy. Thanks for posting!

Awesome, I have the set for Marlin’s and use it for many other guns too. Good to hear they stand by their products.

It actually galls (!) me that anybody would use anything other than a properly fitted, hollow ground screwdriver... on almost ANYTHING. Screwdrivers having a wedge shaped tip suck right out loud.

BTW, machinists are especially guilty of this ... and they should know better. I can't tell you the number of screws having buggered heads I've seen on lathes and mills.

I remember the big fuss Snap-On made years ago when they "improved" their old square handled screw driver ... with a new,"better" handle ... but left the tips exactly same.

I didn't buy Grace, but bought a 32 piece set from B-Square. I also bought a bunch of phillips tips from Home Depot to hollow grind my own, if I come up with a size that is not in the kit.

I have never buggered a screw using a properly ground tip and can't remember the last screw I couldn't remove.

Great to hear about companies that stand behind their products. Congrats!
About 4 years ago, I bought a cheap set of hollow ground firearm screwdrivers with the Winchester name on them. I paid less than $20.00, ( I did say cheap), however, they have yet to disappoint or fail me. Maybe I've just been lucky. Must admit that they have seen limited duty though.🤷🤞
