Bore light ???

Post by Johnnyjr » Mon Aug 02, 2021 3:19 pm

Been trying some different loads in my 44 Henry. Using 200/240 grain cast bullets. To say the least I am not pleased. Starting to think the bore is leaded bad. Looking to get some type of bore light to check it out. Any good ideas where I can get one without braking my wallet..Thanks,johnny

I have been using the same bent piece of clear plastic, no batteries to fail, nor bulbs to burn out. Stick one end in the chamber, cylinder, etc...
Then turn / point the other at any light source...

Bright light where you need it.

It was about $1.50 at a gun show. Still works after all these years.

Get some lead cloth and put some on a 44 jag and run it thru the bore. It will tell if the bore is leaded also.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
