DIY pistol mount

Brownell's sells pistol mounting devices for about $40. Being a old broke Marine I figured I could make one, so out to the shop and 10 minutes later I had one from some scrap oak. Made it specifically for the S&W Shield EZ, since it's easy to jam things up if you accidentally depress the grip safety when removing or installing the slide. Just clamp the stick in a vise and slip the grip on it.

Gunny, I'm with you on this. Why buy something when a little time and free material work just as well.

If something can be made of plastic, it can usually be made out of wood. Just not as fast.
