Vintage Hoppes Gun Cleaning Pack

Post by ruhler » Mon Mar 24, 2025 1:48 pm

I really like these old things found this in a old sportstore as a displaypiece, The store was closing down so I asked the owner if he would part from it, and he was not sure and needed to think about it. Went there a couple day later to buy some ammo on sale, and he gave me the kit for free. He told me that it was a memory of his late father the founder of the store.

A little google and it seems like its from the 1940s, the oilcan seems to be the only thing thats used with very little oil left, the other solvent/Grease is unopened and sealed. The solventbottle was rolled in with some paper/instructions, it seemed a little fragile so didnt dare to look at it. Seems like its in good condition, its now on display in my livingroom.

Any more info or if anyone know more about the year of manufacture would be appreciated.

I found something similar online that may interest you. The site may be a source of information about your kit.

Very cool. I remember when the small bottle of Hoppe’s solvent came in that box. That was a while ago. :o
