Ideas on the mares leg
First off, mares leg all the different rifles you've got, it can be done. The long rangers in the smaller calibers would be particularly interesting as they have detachable box mags, not to mention the new big boys calibers that need new pistol sized buddies. Secondly and more importantly though, with the advent and success of the Mossberg Shockwave I think it would be appropriate for your company to start making a similar sort of "firearm" on your .410 lever gun, a non nfa 26.5 inch light recoiling weapon that fires shotshells would be quite attractive. I could see a big market for them with people who already own Judges or Bond Derringers. These would be quite practical as snake charmers and bunny getters and could work defensively in a pinch as well. I really think it's a big money opportunity for you Henry!

I like your thinking but the AR15 pistol would take most of the sales over most Mare's Legs.
The idea of a .410/.22 over and under Mare's Leg would be of interest to me. I also would like a bolt action Mare's Leg.

A shockwave style lever .410 would do well. I would love to see some obrez style bolt pistols especially in centerfire calibers.Sir Henry wrote:I like your thinking but the AR15 pistol would take most of the sales over most Mare's Legs.

How about a straight pull bolt?

It's more advantageous for the company to use what they've got.Sir Henry wrote:Good point.SingleAction357 wrote:Hey in places like Cali where the AR pistol is a no go a detachable box mag lever pistol could be advantageous.

Maybe we could buy Mare's legs in 45lc, then use CCI/Speer 45LC shot-shells?

You do this with the .410 and I think it'd be a better seller to those with 45/410 handguns. A nice small smoothbore to chunk pdx1's with.

I’d love a .410 caliber mare’s leg even one that went just over 26” which would make it a “firearm”. Under 26” would make it a SBS (short barrel shotgun) requiring a $200.00 tax stamp. As I understand it if you give the fed’s $200.00 a SBS is not as dangerous as before you paid their threat.
