MARES LEG 357, CALIFORNIA

Post by 1942farmall » Sun Jan 07, 2024 12:20 pm

My wife wants a mares leg.
Not sure why but she's insistent.
A local dealer has a 44 mag model on the shelf but she wants a 357.
He also wants too much compared to what I could pay off Gunbroker even with shipping and transfer.
I can't seem to find reliable info on whether these "pistols" are legal to ship to my FFL in the state I still reside in (3 more years).
Anybody know the real answer?
Seller is out of state and is willing to ship but I want to confirm.
Thanks

1942farmall,
We have a number to call at the state level here in NY for information on gun laws. Is there a website or number there?

Good luck with the .357 mare's leg.

When I travel through different states and want to know gun laws I check with the State Attorney General. They are the absolute authority and the websites that “inform” you are not always accurate or up to date.

Thanks for clearing (cleaning) things up, Dave. They do have a website. Easy to find.

Regarding the Henry Mare's Leg .357 from an out of state dealer ...

It is amazing how these states were able to allow so much violence with zero repercussions or Justice in order to gain control over the law abiding. California allowed Kate Steinly’s murderer walk but will arrest you over a Mare’s Leg. The left let our streets get covered in blood for this, zero conscious or guilt. Step by step, inch by inch and who’s paid the ultimate price? The communities that keep them in power. My governor is considering blanket confiscation based on sales records because less than 1% of legal firearms owners registered the arms location.
