It didn’t ‘follow’ me home...but I am very pleased. After months of thinking and reading, I ordered the Leupold VX Freedom 2-7x33. It is exactly what I was hoping for. It fits the rifle well and looks amazing.

The deciding factors were quality and warranty. I really liked the Nikon, but. Too many questions. I know the Leupold will last and make the most of my rifles abilities.

What a beautiful piece of work. Like I said, Very pleased.
And yes, the skinner peep is still useable. Hah!

Mighty good scope. I put the Leupold VX-1 2-7x33mm Shotgun scope on my Henry BB steel .45 Colt. Works like a dream. Glad you like that one. Should work perfectly.

It looks really good. The detachable rings let you keep the peep sight in play, too. Good setup!

Do the Leupold quick release rings have a detent or "set" once they are in position to hold to the base?
I hunt in some pretty heavy cover at times and had concern of the levers getting bumped loose.
I was also curious if the OP had to remove his rear sight.

Very nice set up @Cofisher, hope you get to poke some holes or ring some steel with her soon.

Stray Cat, yes, removed the rear sight. My Low Pro is set so low the rear sight blocked the view.

The rings are Weaver Grand Slam medium QD. The levers do not‘lock’ to my knowledge. It does not seem to be an issue.

Weather has sucked lately. Hope to get out soon.

I put the same scope (other than it’s the Rimfire parallax) on my BBS 327 and am thrilled with how it worked out. Fits the rifle profile perfectly and after shooting it for the first time the other day I’m very happy with how clear and bright it is.

It’s interesting to see the difference in mounting choices. I, obviously, like a longer eye relief. Each of us makes it work our way. Good looking set up dog.
