I purchased a new Henry .308 and installed a Vortex scope with a quick release AD-Delta scope mount on an EGW rail. I'm attaching some pics with how I did it in case anyone is interested. Finally my favorite cartridge on the best lever action produced, way to go Henry

Nice set up and congrats on the new Henry.
Lastly, welcome from Indiana. I hope to see some future range and/or hunting reports on your new Henry.

Welcome from the Show-Me-State!
And you "showed us" a beautiful Henry rifle....thanks for the great photos. Enjoy it.
BTW, are you a lefty? Curious, because I noticed your hammer extension is mounted on left side of rifle. Maybe I'm mis-reading the mounting. Anyway, if you are a lefty, how do you like shooting a Henry? I'd think the right side brass ejection might be a small challenge? I often see the Henry pages where they post "OK for Left-Handed Shooters."

Thank you for sharing. Welcome to the forum. Quick detach without iron sights? I might want something a little more snug!

Thanks to you all for your comments, in answer to some questions I'm ambidextrous I usually shoot my rifles left handed depending whether I'm in a stand and where the game is and I shoot my pistols right handed most of the time. Playing basketball is a riot trying to remember which arm to shoot with

. Unfortunately this model does not come with iron sights but word has it they may soon so I will have the front sight installed and address the rear on the rail when hunting in close range. I'll post the "Big One" when I get him with the new Henry. Of course we all know there is always a "Bigger One" out there somewhere that's why we do what we do
