New (used) Bushnell Sportview Scope
I stopped in Medford yesterday to get a latte and visited the lgs a couple doors down. I found a used glossy scope and even though it showed surface blems the glass was clear and high contrast.
I’ll be putting it on this CZ 452-2E American in 17HMR.
It was priced at $75 and I asked if that was the best they could do. After a minute of him telling me how hard gloss scopes are to get he said how about $65 and I said I’ll take it. I hope the AO is okay. It focuses correct at the different distances so it should be okay.

Gene, I had one of those on my Savage FVS 112 in 22-250 and it worked well out to about 300 yards, which is as far as I would shoot.
Think you'll be fine with it. Nice score.

I've had several of those old Sportview AO scopes on various guns over the years. They worked. The optics, especially image brightness were just okay, but they worked. Still have a couple in the scope drawer I am not currently using. I would not put a Sportview on a serious accuracy rifle or a high dollar rifle or a hard kicking rifle, but for backyard plinking with an airgun or rimfire, no problem.

Thanks. I might put the scope on a different rifle. I have a Leupold that might better suit the CZ.North Country Gal wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 11:11 amI've had several of those old Sportview AO scopes on various guns over the years. They worked.
