I just bought a Leupold vari-x III 1.75-6x32 "short" seemed like a nice and compact scope for a leveraction. Made in 1995 but it's in good condition some marks after scoperings but perfect condition on everything else. Googled around about the scope and found out it's not that common scope.
Anyone got some more info about these scopes between when where they made? I got a newer vx3 1.73-6x32 made in 2007 on another rifle really like these vx3 scopes. But didn't expect it to be so much smaller. I know these older scopes lack performance due to old coatings and lenses but they sure are nice scopes that works in normal light conditions.

I really don't think the Vari-X III will lack performance. That was Leupolds "Cadillac" back then and is a high quality scope. Congrats!
You didn't say what it will be mounted on but that short tube might call for a weaver/pictinny rail setup so you can position the scope where you want it for eye relief and clearances. Just a thought.
