I agree. It is a personal choice. After serving 22 years in the Navy, my mind still thinks worst case scenarios. I just try to avoid any possible show stoppers. I still try and avoid power windows in vehicles. But, it seems to be more of a special order thing now.

I am happy to have found this discussion, I like the skinners on my 2 SGCs, but wanted something to replace the buckhorn on my BBS Carbine (.357). Peeps work better for me as my eyes get older. Thanks for the detailed review.

Update:
I made it to the range today. I wanted to continue zeroing my CloverLeaf. After figuring out which way I had to go, I think I am done for now. Even with the sun and rear sight in my field of view, I think it is zeroed okay at 25 yards. But, 100 yards is the test, which I will save for another day. I shot 12 rounds total. 3 hit the same POI, interesting. But, I think I have a good idea about the sight. I like it! It has a much better sight picture than the semi-buckhorn. So, I plan to remove it. Plus, it is in my field of view.

Based on your info before you went to the range I ordered a cloverleaf, just need to mount it on my .357 BBS carbine. I also got a dovetail filler when I ordered. I will post results when I get it installed and sighted in. Thx.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Glad you ordered one. I think you will like it! I thought about ordering a dovetail filler from RPP. I just have a hard time letting go $34. I seen one at Midway for $6. I think that I will give it a try. If I don't like the fit, I may go ahead and spend the $34. I was not crazy about spending $110 for the Cloveleaf peep. But, I am pleased with it. So, I may feel the same way, if I end up spending $34 for the filler.

I bet the filler from Ranger point will be a nicer fit that the ones from Midway.

I read this thread with interest as I am also thinking of either getting the cloverleaf sight for my ordered BBS 44C, or mounting a 1.5-3X scope that I already own. My old eyes can still use peep sights as long as the aperture is large enough. I use the 50m ghost aperture on my M4 when using irons.
