Forgot to mention, I also installed the supplied rear grip. I think it's more for the look than the function. I like the two tone look. Plus, if I don't like it I can always remove and go back to the standard grip which is just a bit less depth than what this add on adds.

Speaking for myself, I do enjoy shooting handguns with red dots. They'll never completely take the place of iron sights for me, but I do find red dots to be very useful for some types of my shooting so I keep some guns setup with them.

That's an interesting mount. As I understand it, Glock now makes a red dot mount system built into the rail on some of their guns. I think that's a great idea and hope to see other gun makers follow suit.

Have fun!

Very interesting "look" to this red dot and mounting system....kind of cool. Hope you like the results.
As far as the looks, I really like the black and gray combo. Gives a solid appearance to me.
And that's a 9MM, correct?
Enjoy!

Cool! You should have fun using a dot. I have a similar setup...

All my other hand guns are iron sites. This rail mount won't fit most of my other guns due to not having the rail mount. LOL

I may be mistaken but I thought most rail mounts were laser.

This particular one I have mounted to the Glock was purchased to mount on my M&P 15-22 but I found other sights that I like better on it.

Here's what it looked like before swapping it out.

Rails on semi auto pistols are designed with either laser or lights in mind (or combo laser/light units). These are universal and are designed to fit any semi-auto pistol with a rail. A pistol scope mount that attaches to the rail is not universal in that it may or may not clear on certain pistols. Still have a lot of leeway as to what it might fit, but no guarantee it will work on every auto.

Most folks, these days, are going to slide mounted setups for their red dots such as the one you see on Neon Horse's Glock.

I had a holo style red dot on my Mark I target pistol for a while. After a year or so I tried going back to the iron sights. Groups were tighter. Daughter felt the same way, so we went back to iron sights. Put after getting the Henry BB steel, we decided to give it a try on that, and really liked it. Groups came down significantly. Have since decided to move on to an optical scope for the Henry.

That looks like a great combo, Bish. :D

I really envy you guys being able to buy handguns. I guess I'll just have to drool over the pictures! ;)
