Info on Hi Viz sights and H001T
I recently purchased a Henry H001T and a .45 side gate big boy. I was able to find the HHVS 500 Hi Viz sight set for the big boy and loved them on that gun. However I was unable to find the HHVS 450 sight set for the H001T and got tired of waiting so I bought the Hi Viz universal rear sight (same one that is used in the sight set) and the Hi Viz DOVM .420 front sight. The factory sight is .450" in height. The DOVM sights come in .500" and .420". I took a chance on going lower with the .420. The other choice was to go to the .500". It worked out just fine. Initial sight in was about 2" low at 30 yards. One turn on the elevation screw put it dead on. The major difference in the DOVM sight and the front sight provided in the Hi Viz 450 set is that the litepipe in the 450 sight set is better protected. I do just target shooting and plinking so that is not an issue for me. Just put this up here to show there is more than one way to skin a cat.
