Skinner vs tang part 2

Post by Oldbrass » Tue Sep 29, 2020 6:38 pm

For the new .22 Golden boy Welcome the Skinner "Octagon screw mount" skinner. Remove buckhorn with brass punch or 22 case on M16 cleaning rod. There's 2 screw holes under the sight ramp ( didn't know that) mount the Skinner and Wallah. It's not close as a tang but closer than the dovetail mount version. Tried taking few fotos of sight picture . I'm 58 and wear glasses the sight picture is superb. I prefer it without the insert I feel it's easier however it's not quite a ghost ring. Range report another day beings I ordered a Henry all weather 357 this morning. Yep I caught Henryitis. Oh don't forget the dovetail blank insert

 Old brass just noticed your quote. How far do you stick the barrel in the water?
