I put a Athlon 1x8 on mine with a DNZ Gamereaper mount and I hit steel at 200 yards easily.
There are so many models can you give me the model you picked,?
Its the Athlon Midas BTR 1-8

Looks like the 1x6 Midas BTR HD is about $670 retail, any place you know of I could pickup cheaper that is the real deal?

Sorry it is a 1-6 but that's not what I paid 2 years ago. Mines second focal plane and was under $300. Looks like i have the Gen 1 version and it has gone up in price. They have the Argos BTR in a 1x8 https://www.amazon.com/Athlon-Optics-1- ... ast_sto_dp
same reticle I have but with the 3/4 circle.

I’m looking at buying the DNZ Game Reaper for my 45-70 X, I’m going with the 1x6 Midas BTR Gen 2, do I select the “Big Boy” model from their website?

I don’t want my scope sitting to high on the gun as well, does it come with everything needed to install the Athlon ?

Thanks for the help in advance

Yes!!

DNZ said I’d have to go with the 1895 game reaper which is only available in High, was looking for medium, any suggestions on a solid scope mounting. System for that optic that is lightweight, 30mm

The Athlon is a 30mm tube so you will have to use the high mount with the DNZ mount as they don't have a medium or low in a 30mm tube. This is the mount I got. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0040 ... UTF8&psc=1
If you get it just follow the instructions included with the mount and you should have no problems. Don't forget to post some pics of your rig when you get it set up.
