Hey guys. I've recently purchased a brand new Leupold VX-3i, 4.5-14X40 that is exceptional. However, I also just found a used Leupold VariX- III 6.5-20X40 in my area for sale, that's an older gloss bodied model, I think from 2004. The specs are:

fine duplex reticle,
1/4 click adjustments

Are these as high quality as the newer versions? Would the glass be as good, and would it use "clicks" or friction for the turret movement. I just really want that extra magnification.

The person is asking $750 CDN, OR $561 U.S.

Are they asking too much for this scope? What should they normally go for used? I can't find any specs on this model.
